If you are going to visit Ragusa (and you should), this is absolutely the best place to stay. There is no beating the view and their "secret staircase" saved us many extra steps when walking to the Ibla, which we did numerous times. We had a car with us and found it easy to drive to the hotel and find parking. The gentleman running the place was great. He helped us with recommendations and served us a lovely breakfast every morning. A note about Ragusa, the Ibla are is what you come for, but...
Architecturally stunning. Most all breads, meats, cheeses, and even vines made, bred or grown on their 38 hectares of surrounding property. Service was everything you would expect from a 5 star accommodation. Room appropriate for surroundings but a little small.
San Giorgio Palace has a spectacular location atop Ragusa. When you exit the hotel on floor 5, it's just a few flights of stairs up to the main square in Ragusa with all its sights, shops and restaurants.

We had an amazing time in Ragusa at La Casa del gesumina. The b and b was close to the center, walking distance to many sites and restaurants and also to the bus stops for the beach and Ragusa Superiore. The breakfasts were unforgettable and the best we have had anywhere. The warning “leave room for the cake!” Heralded a different surprise every day including caffe granite in a sweet roll, a fruit covered tart and others. This was after we had our savory breakfast including fresh ricotta daily...
