this hotel deserves every superlative, unless you need a swimming pool and gym, and unless you go to bed very early--there are wedding receptions almost every night.
that said, the property itself and the rooms approach relais chateaux standards. the buffet breakfast is total quality.

Our sea view suite had the most incredible view of the most popular beach in Polignano a Mare. It was a pleasure to sit on the balcony every day. The breakfast was also delicious with great coffee and for a very reasonable price. The best part was Emio who was so caring and attentive to our needs. Our stay was truly a pleasure.

The location and staff (which is all family) was great. The only thing that was a bit of a drawback was that they only give you bathing towels once or twice per stay. It was not easy since my family and I were taking two showers a day due to the heat. It’s not sanitary to keep using the same towel. Il Melograno was a beautiful and peaceful place to stay in Puglia. It was a little more upscale and less intimate than some of the smaller masserias we stayed at, but absolutely stunning in its own way.
