We have been travelling across southern Italy for three weeks and have stayed in several places which were all nice friendly and clean, but Casa Mamma Elvira stands above the rest for us. The location is central to everything that is historically important to see, and also central to many restaurants and shops. Very nice hotel. The only problem was finding the hotel was a bit of a challenge. Hotel need to place larger sign. But, overall the staff are helpfull, the breakfast was delicious, the location is close to the historic center. The hotel is clean and safe. I am highly recomend tourists or travelers to book and stay at this hotel if they are planning to travel to Lecce, Italy.
When we arrived, these 70 somethings were a little unsure of the trendy decor and the fact that there was live music each night of our stay. However we were soon won over by the amazing young staff who worked so hard to ensure that we had a wonderful time. They were all kind and caring and always working with a smile. We loved our rooms and the roof top lounge. It turned out to be one of the highlights of our stay in Italy!
Not what I was expected. I know we came during off season but in May. The winery seem to be well known in the area but it wasn't open. They don't really have staff in attendance, but you can always reach them by email or phone if you have local cell phone. They use an app to access the gate into the venue unfortunately that our connection wasn't always the greatest and we needed to ask our friend to open the gate for us. We only saw one or two other guests in the hotel so it is really too...
We highly recommend this spot! It's an amazing little gem that offers a truly unique experience. The hotel owner has painstakingly rebuilt the entire neighborhood block; the area is so charming and perfect it honestly looks like you've walked onto a movie set. I spent three days at Palazzo Belsanti with a friend and we had a lovely stay. Andrea and Alessandra are wonderful and so very helpful (Andrea even grabbed my seriously HEAVY suitcase from the car and up the stairs to our room!!!), doing all that they can to make your stay in Lecce as enjoyable and authentic as you want it to be. The Baroque suite was spacious with comfortable king bed. Location was great, very quiet and within easy walking distance to everything. Lecce is a lovely city--if we come back we'll stay here again.
