Stonefield Castle Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Stonefield Castle is a magical place. We had a room with a view of the Loch which was spectacular. The restaurant where breakfast is served has views over the Loch, the gardens, and the woods. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. The gardens and the shore are so beautiful."
Kames Hotel
8/10 Good
"Warm welcome by excellent staff despite limited operating hours. Very good food both for dinner in its own restaurant and bar, and breakfast in its separate dining room. Outside seating area perfect for a drink in the sunshine with fantastic views of the yachts and boats on the estuary and beyond to Isle of Bute. No lift but adequate bedroom with good looking shower which however contained no gran bars, no soap tray, and no toiletries inside the shower cubicle. Solely a rainfall shower. Overall a very comfortable well situated hotel in a quiet location and small viiiage where required good dining facilities in house with alternatives a good walk away. Decent value and would stay again if the opportunity arises."
Portavadie
10/10 Excellent
"Comfortable and quiet rooms, exceptional leisure facilities with the outdoor swimming pool being memorable."
Tregortha
10/10 Excellent
"Wonderful B&B. Really friendly and the full cooked Scottish breakfast was done brilliantly (poached egg, plus not greasy sausages/haggis etc). Would recommend. Nice views from the breakfast dining area towards the island of Inchmamock."
Lochranza Youth Hostel
10/10 Excellent
"I liked how the kitchen had a hot water dispenser for drinks and use of caffeteria"
The Grey Gull Hotel
8/10 Good
"The bed was a bit hard but the room was clean with coffee and tea provided. Staff were friendly and breakfast was a variety of hot and cold foods."
Anchor Hotel
8/10 Good
"Staff very helpful and able to deal with all questions. Good breakfast made to order and very good dinner in hotel restaurant. Free parking is available all along the street; all local amenities are easily accessible on foot. The internal fabric of the hotel is rather tired and worn, and would benefit from some refurbishment; fixtures and fittings show some - largely cosmetic - wear and tear which might be better maintained. This would make it more aesthetically attractive."
The House at Glenbarr
10/10 Excellent
"The facilities were great . Our room was the Hayloft and was fantastic . I would say more like a studio flat with our own kitchen dining and lounge areas . It was very relaxing such a lovely place overall. We chose to have breakfast in the cafe each morning and it was excellent. The staff were very helpful when it came to local eating out for evening meals and things to see and do . I definitely agree with others I would give it a 10 out of 10 and will be back"
Corrie Hotel

"Staff and breakfast were A1!"
