"Convenient location near the centre. Parking at the rear of the Hotel. The staff were excellent. My wife and I really enjoyed our one-night stay. "

"We were very pleased with our room after booking last minute. We had a large living area which was very cosy. We requested a travel cot which was ready in the room waiting with sheets and blankets. The cot unfortunately would not fit in our bedroom, so we positioned it against the back of the sofa outside our bedroom door. We did have to use blankets to block the breeze coming through the bottom of the door as it was close to the cot but this worked fine. The breakfast in the morning was nice, as a pescatarian I would have loved the option to have the cooked breakfast minus the meat, but the veggie options were still good. The river alongside is really lovely. we had planned to go for a run in the morning but there were no routes that avoided running along unpaved roads. We did not use the spa facilities as this wouldn't work having our baby with us.We will definitely stay here again when visitng my sister nearby! "

"Stayed overnight on our road trip into Wales and what a wonderful gem it is. It was impossible to miss how this property is full of history, character and charm. The friendly and knowledgeable hosts also provided an excellent cooked breakfast with local produce. Whilst the property may not have all the mod cons of the modern chains (ie. no AC), it made up for it from the size of the bedroom, bathroom and bed (all huge); spacious parking; tranquility. The only thing I would have liked was a bit brighter mood lighting in the room as the table lamps were quite dim – even though the overhead lights (which we didn't want on) were bright enough. Overall, highly recommended and would love to come back if needing accommodation in the area."

"Room absolutely perfect, very clean - super location. Continental breakfast provided as self service but no indication as to where it was. Luckily I found someone who was able to show me as it was in another part of the building with no signage, otherwise I wouldn’t have found it. Limited reception facilities, no one there when I left so unsure how to pay, in the end I left cash with a lady who assisted with the Abbey. Would definitely stay again, but I bit more direction/guidance would have been really helpful."
