This was a lovely venue, we attended a friends wedding . Everything about the venue was great.
Unfortunately my hubby was taken ill, but the staff were amazing and cared for us both during this time. We will definitely stay here again in the future, hopefully he's not taken ill next time ..

FOR the price you can't find a better hotel. The only negative is the overpriced restaurant. If the prices were a little more reasonable there probably would have been more diners on a Saturday night. We only saw two. We walked down the road to a different place for dinner.
Beautiful quiet location with the most magnificent gardens. Breakfast was delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room and bathroom was exquisite. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Had a business trip to Donington Circuit Race Track. My company put me here and overall a great experience. The free breakfast was very good, a lot of choices and fresh made to order. The lunch and diner was also very good though it took some time for the food to come out. But we made up for it was drinks. We stayed at the cottage and the rooms smelled a bit musky. The beds were slightly flat but I wouldn't expect anything more for a hotel in the English county side. The scenery was beautiful...
I grew up near Tutbury and spent many an evening in the "D&P" but this was my first stay visiting from the US. My visit could not have gone any better - the staff were all so helpful, the food was excellent and the room very comfortable. The room had everything I needed but it was a bit cold (but I'm from California and this was in November!).
