Friendly staff, cozy room and easy access

I would go back to Akureyri just to stay at this hostel. It was absolutely perfect, and the pod idea gives a lot more privacy to the hostel concept. Plus, nice terrace overlooking main street, incredibly friendly staff, good range and tasty breakfast (the pastries are baked right there) and everything was somehow sparkling clean almost all the time. I dont usually give many written out reviews, but this place deserves it.

Great Stay! Very clean and quiet. Well stocked kitchen in case you want to cook your own meals. Also very close to the main hotel in case you want to grab a meal at the very quaint restaurant. The Spanish waiter at the restaurant is excellent. Only one supermarket and gas station nearby. Closes early

My boyfriend and I had a fantastic stay! The staff was unbelievably friendly and easy to talk to. The dorms were spacious and clean and we had the best time! I highly recommend it!

Very comfortable bed. Large fully equipped kitchen and beautiful seating area for guests to relax.

Exactly what we were looking for. Clean room, quiet, hostel like setting, and a perfect place to get some sleep after a long day of touring Iceland. Perfect walking distance to all downtown activities. We will definitely stay here again! We had a poor experience at another downtown hotel who refused us our room or our money back and left us stranded with no where to stay; the front desk staff at the Kastali Guesthouse were helpful and accommodating for a very last minute reservation. This place is super nice and modern, very clean and nice facilities. There is also a bar offering food (pizza, wings, etc) for relatively cheap compared to the rest of iceland. The place is right by reynesfjara beach so it is a perfect location close to vik. Loved it here.

Great stay. Breakfast was awesome. Everything is fresh. Didn't have sheets, but I hear this is common in Iceland. I kept in touch with the staff and they respond very quickly to any questions I may have had. We arrived very late due to a delayed flight and there was someone waiting on us. Highly recommend

Perfect location to walk around Reykjavík. Lots of food options, shops and bars on the same street. The hotel staff is friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Everyone on-site spoke English and gave advice. It is street parking which you have to pay for, it is free after 6PM though.

Highly recommend. Good place to rest and recharge.

Cottages were amazing for our family. Kitchen was equipped with all the required utensils. We went with cottage because we wanted the private bathrooms. There were 8 beds in the cottage, they did give 4 bed sheets. We had to put them on whatever beds we choose to sleep on. :) Unfortunately there was no shower gel/shampoo/conditioner. We didn't get any notification that it won't be there. This place was amazing and surrounded with lambs, horses and birds. would recommend to any one.

Very nice hostel, multiple bathrooms and showers. Great location Each floor has its own kitchen - very convenient Very clean and linen were cozy! Downsides : parking is extremely difficult and no towels for ppl in dorms

Check in was easy and staff was great! Stayed at another building that was closer to the water and had a great view. Room was very clean and bathroom was nice. Also had a great kitchen space to use and sitting area. Great location!
