A well-maintained property with clean rooms, great pool and a very nice beach, with helpful staff that are happy to set up sun beds with towels and shade. There is drink service at the beach although a bit slow. However, there is cold drinking water available via self-serve all the time. One important tip - the beach is divided into three by barrier rocks. Of the three sections, the one furthest away from the towel cabana has best ocean floor - with almost no rocks. The property was more than I expected for the price I paid. Mark the owner is a very friendly and accommodating individual. Communication was extraordinary, he made sure that taxi service was available throughout my trip. George who was my driver was very kind, he went above and beyond to make sure my stay was memorable. We stayed 3 nights on our first trip to Barbados. The hotel is lovely and the room was very comfortable. The staff was amazing - everyone was so friendly and helpful. We truly enjoyed our stay and would have stayed longer, but we booked at the last minute and they were completely booked. The food in the restaurant was very good as well. We will be back someday!

We loved this resort, with the beautiful surroundings and friendly staff. The food was delicious and convenient.

Very small for a Fairmont but very nice property with all 72 rooms facing the sea. Everything you could want is on the property. Only challenge is that, for those who must roam, you must walk a bit to town, take a very convenient and inexpensive public bus, or taxi if you don't have a rental car. Staff was the most pleasant and accommodating I have ever encountered.

Staff was very helpful and friendly especially Alisha who went out of her way to help me find something to take back home.

This resort made our trip. We stayed for a week in late September 2015 to celebrate a major birthday. The Colony Club upgraded our room (probably possible only because it was off-season), and started our vacation off right with delicious rum punches and a bottle of champagne. We just returned from our second stay, and once again it was such a beautiful experience! If you are trying to decide between the Marriott properties- this is definitely the best (more to open soon though). The beach is beautiful and there is great snorkeling if you follow the rope on the left side over the reef. We stayed in a split ocean view - incredible view. The adults pool is beautifully landscaped and feels very special (even had monkey activity). My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this really cute apartment. Our apartment was #15, and it became our little home. The air conditioning and fan were welcome as the mornings in B'dos became warm quite quickly. The staff was very helpful and resolved our TV issues within minutes. Mrs. Brown is a sweetheart and made us feel very welcomed. The apartments are within minutes to a main road with restaurants, banks, super markets, and the beach and board walk.

The general experience was quite good, the hotel menu selection was ok. and service quite good. The public transportation was quite easy and accessible. . However,there was a misunderstanding on the package booked. Although my party consists of (4) four person, however, the breakfast was only available to (1) one person. This was not made clear when the booking was made. we discovered this the day we checked in.. This was very dissappointing ..

We booked reservation in Island Inn because the Amaryllis Beach Resort closed. It was our first all 'inclusive experience' and we were very pleased by the variety and quality of the meals provided. The owner of the Inn was a most gracious host and the staff one and all were a delight.

Beautiful property in a gorgeous location. Loved everything about it - lovely room, excellent food and very friendly and helpful staff. Location is a bit isolated but the amenities more than compensate and great for a relaxing vacation!

Totally underrated. No frills but that’s the fun part. If you just want an amazing place to stay off the beaten path especially with a family and have your own little kitchen this is the please

After reading a few of the reviews on this site I was wary, but we had an 18-hour layover and needed a place to sleep. I figured, whatever, we can at least just sleep there. We LOVED it. The staff were so friendly, helpful, and accommodating; the room was spacious (the closet behind the bathroom door could have fit a small bedroom set !), clean, and very comfortable; the facilities were perfect for what we needed.
