If anything wasn't in your chalet, there was a common cooking and laundry area. Not only did we use some things, we shared some of our extras. So much better then thowing some things in the rubbish!
We had the most amazing stay at drift off grid. The place was even more beautiful than I remember from the Expedia photos. Stunning views, extremely comfy bed, gorgeous bathroom and the hospitable touches from our hosts Jana and Drew were lovely. Our favorite accommodation in New Zealand by far!
If you’re traveling to Abel Tasman, this gem is a must. From delicious breakfasts and dinners by Chef Valeriy to the picturesque views and private beach, this top my list of favorite places I have stayed.
The on-property host and manager, Valery, made the stay phenomenal; he is also a professional chef and will cook you breakfast and dinner each day using fresh and local ingredients. The property has direct access to a very private beach and offers 2 kayaks and a paddle board for you to use when desired. The views from each room are stunning with the penthouse having the best setup, followed by the jacuzzi room and then cozy room which has a Bowers & Wilkins surround sound setup. You also have...
Very welcoming. 5 star experience in a small coastal town beside the world class hiking and beauty of Abel Tasman National Park.
All of the dinners and wine pairing were simply amazing.
This was our best stay in the 2 weeks on the South Island.
The outside garden view seating is very peaceful; shared kitchen has everything one could need and is a nice social space. The muffin for breakfast might be the best I have ever tasted and farm fresh eggs are a major bonus.
We really enjoyed our stay at Nautilus Lodge. Diane and Graem were wonderful, and very helpful in guiding us to optimize our time while at Abel Tasman!
VERY clean. Convenient to town. We had a free standing suite with out own bathroom, refrig and tea pot. Also access to main housr kitchen and laundry facilities.
First experience with a Hostel, and wont be our last.
