The facility is spotless, the rooms well appointed. The breakfast offerings are 5 Star. Shops àre a 10 minute walk from Klouschter. Direct busses to Luxembourg Gare are a 10 minute walk from Klouschter (at Casino 2000). Of the Front Desk Staff, one Staff Member could not do enough to be helpful, including speaking English, and, writing information on paper with pen. The other Front Desk Staff member could not have been more rude, including providing misleading information and 'No English' ......
We stayed in Schloss Berg in mid March for a weekend. We are so glad we decided to stay at this hotel!!! As soon as we arrived, the reception desk greeted us with warm/wet cloths to clean up from the drive, fresh apples and free wine. We had never been to Luxemburg before and the reception plotted out our entire next day of things to do for us (she was right on point, we had such a great day)! The staff were fantastic. Room very comfortable, and food excellent. My only observation is there appeared to be a bit of mold in the grout within the bathroom where water would pool.
The hotel and our rooms were clean, as was the hotel. It was easy to see that the property is well cared for and that the staff takes pride in their work. The Tourist Information center is right around the corner in the plaza, and absolutely everything is within walking distance! A couple of people in our party are light sleepers, and said that the noise from the bar on Rue Notre Dame and that from the plaza kept them awake. We struggled to find a hotel in Luxembourg that looked reliable. The Novotel Suites was our "safe" choice and it was great. A/C worked in the heat wave. Everything was fresh, clean, even a bit space age. Three sinks, solid door to shower room. Hair dryer was the best in europe. Wasserkocher in room, but only small paper cups. Tram has been extended to the city and is free until mid Sept. Electric black out blinds and sound proofing helped sleep even on the road side of the hotel.
Excellent hotel, exceptional customer service, very accommodating and helpful, and great breakfast. There is a food court right below the hotel. Only 17 minutes from Luxembourg train station driving a car but the bus takes almost an hour.
