Absolutely amazing stay. Loved the traditional Japanese styles they used and the in-room onsen was so cool! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great traditional Japanese luxury stay at an affordable price!
Room was huge and the mattress was first-rate. Staff were exceptionally helpful. The entire property was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was varied and delicious. It was just as advertised.
The onsen was absolutely great, with beautiful view of Beppu. The room was very spacious and quiet. The hotel staff is overall friendly. Teppan dinner was great (though the Wagyu steak was a bit too greasy for me), and breakfast was also nice.
This is really something to be experienced. It is new (2023) and massive - hundreds and hundreds of guests. It is a spa, first and foremost. The rooms are huge, quiet, and elegant; the numerous staff are efficient and multi-lingual. Hot springs in the building, hundreds of guests strolling about in hotel yukata, views of the peaks and ocean. The optional meals are definitely recommended - the food is fantastic and also it is a long hike to get down the mountain. Partner likened it to a luxury...
This is an excellent hotel for those who would like to eat out and go to nearby Onsen as the hotel does not have Onsen. The hotel was modern Japanese feel, designed by a local architect. It sits in a very quiet location and about 10 minutes walk to the jigoku area.
Excellent facilities and top notch service together with fantastic food, drinks and all inclusive. Villa with private onsen and swimming pool will leave you breathless.
The amenities and the facilities were amazing! Lots of little extras down at the front desk you can grab and take if needed and pillows galore to choose from for your room. The staff was so kind and helpful and there was free drinks and breakfast! Amazing stay so kind!
Everything was as advertised! Comfortable bed, and excellent restaurant. Reaching the hotel can be slightly inconvenient without relying on taxis, so if you’re coming with a suitcase I highly recommend driving or taking a taxi. Staff was helpful and accommodating.
The room showed clear signs of regular wear and tear like cup stains on the wood and light scuffs on the walls. Everything felt well maintained however, and for the price I would still give the location a 5/5
