Trailsman Lodge
8/10 Good
"Great view. Good value"
Cabot Trail Motel
10/10 Excellent
"Very nice property, icing on the cake is the restaurant so you can eat amazing food at the property while having a nice stay. Beach access is just across the road, so it is a nice place to stay at. Highly recommended."

"Great location ….. good value Comfortable accommodation"
Fair Isle Motel
10/10 Excellent
"THIS PLACE WAS FANTASTIC! I stayed here for two nights to visit and do some hiking in the area - the manager offered a pickup and drop off from the Maritime Bus Terminal at no cost which was extremely generous as its. 30min walk with no sidewalks away (and a simple 4 min drive) Wonderful location close to many trails full of beauty. The Salt Mountain Trail was breathtaking with views of the whole bay and inlet. The pool was a great addition to the motel, the room was very tidy, clean, and spacious, and the view from the little patio of the bay is a wonderful thing to wake up to. Sunrises and sunsets galore! Highly recommend staying here. The manager, Christena (I believe here name is??) was so beyond kind and courteous. 11/10 stay! I recommend checking out and supporting the local Mi’kmaq crafts store at the little gas station/bus terminal plaza to support the local indigenous community and pay respects to this beautiful land. I hope to come back and do some more exploring, and if I do I hope to stay here again."
Duck Cove Inn

"Motel has been renovated fairly recently (at least where we stayed - not sure about the two storey building attached to the office/reception/dining room). Price a bit high but in line with what we paid in other hotels of cape breton. Comfy beds, fridge, microwave, no kettle, no coffee machine in the bedroom (I think the receptionist said you have to go to the reception to get coffee/tea). For one night, this was a pretty good option."
Island Sunset Resort
10/10 Excellent
"I don’t usually write reviews if my experience doesn’t exceed my expectation. And this stay was better than what I expected! The view from the room was dreamy and the furnitures were very well maintained. Got to take a much needed good night sleep on the comfy and clean king sized bed."
Cajun Cedar Log Cottages
10/10 Excellent
"Our 2 bedroom cottage was amazing, very clean and well stocked with all your travel needs. The view across the river was incredible. We were 5 so the BBQ was a little small(just a table top) but it did the trick. The owner was very friendly and takes pride in her work. If you’re looking for a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of nature/cottage life this is a must stay. Be sure to Visit the Coop!!(they sell adult drinks too)and, there’s a great antique store across the street. 10 minutes to the right out of the driveway. The beach 12 minutes to the left. BONUS!!! It’s amazingly priced."
The Normaway Inn

"Beautifully rustic and cozy. Cabins were very comfortable. Nice bathroom and shower. Our cabin included a lovely porch swing. There was a shared fire pit surrounded by welcoming Adirondack chairs in front of our place. Breakfast was not available. Fridge and coffee machine in cabin. Horses and cows in the pasture. The evening entertainment included fiddlers and square dancing for all to enjoy. Would definitely stay here again."
