What a wonderful place to stay! The hosts were extremely nice and the B&B was immaculate. In the morning we had a blast talking with the owners and enjoying the beautiful spread they made for breakfast. I would recommend this B&B to everyone!
Everything was very clean! The owners thought of everything. The rooms were very comfortable. Parking on site was great. We were offered breakfast for a small fee and it was very good.
There are even espresso machines in the rooms!

We were greeted with smiles, and our host was very kind enough to let us check in an hour late. Breakgast was very nice in the morning, and our room was clean and comfortable. When we come back this way, we will stay again!
Nice, small B&B right outside the bustle of old town Matera on a more residential area. The rooms were clean and roomy (by European standards) and the continental breakfast was always ready for us in the morning. It was about a 5 minute walk to old town and sightseeing, where there were an abundance of restaurants to choose from.

Hotel is located in a quiet industrial area outside town. Takes 15 min to drive to the old town but we had no problem finding a paid parking lot. Hotel is new and impeccably maintained. Great breakfast. Nice pool. We’d definitely stay there again next time we’re in Matera.
Lovely property. You need a car if going to old Matera. Grocery store close by. Pretty grounds and great pool (although like most Italian pools, not heated.) we found easy parking lots near the historic area so it is ok. The photos are deceiving because the spa whirlpool tub is not included - you have to pay 100 euro per couple to use those amenities. That should be made clear in the listing or they shouldn't show the photos. " Cave" hotel room is fun but only a window at door and in bathroom....
I stayed on short notice at Casale di Maria and I couldn't have been happier with my choice. The room was very charming and unique - in one of the historic sassi (cave hewn into the rocks) but with all the modern amenities you could wish for.

This hotel was simply DREAMY! My "cave room" was on three small levels, and each was incredible. The luxurious bathroom, built into the cave on the first level was spacious and inviting, with a tub and a shower as well as a closet. On the mezzanine, was my bed, inviting, with fresh, crisp sheets. On the third level was a chase lounge, looking over magical Sassi. This was the first stop on my 3 weeks in Italy's Puglia region, and was a welcome retreat, as I caught up on rest and relaxed...
Parking was excelent. Location could no have been better just in the outskirts of the old City. Staff was very kind and helpful both at checkin and giving instructions for tours and food. Room was very well kept
We had an amazing stay at the Cenobio Hotel! It can be a bit tricky to find if it's your first time in Matera, and you can't drive directly to the hotel. Plus, there are some steps to navigate both downhill and uphill. Knowing this from other reviews, we contacted the hotel before our arrival.
