"Staff very friendly and attentive but the choice of food for the evening meal was very limited and I thought overpriced for what was on offer. Nowhere else in the area to eat so didn't have much choice really. Only stayed for one night as was touring the island. Would have been very disappointed if the stay was longer."

"We had a wonderful comfortable stay. The property has been renovated to the highest standards with beautiful cosy bedrooms and a large bathroom. I loved the large shower which is a rare find in Italy. The entire place was spotless and we had wonderful water views from our room. The hotel is in a very central location making it quite easy to get to the ferry and train station. We had avery efficient wifi service, a nice breakfast each morning and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. I will definitely stay again next time I visit."

"We had an excellent stay at Al Castello! Paolo was a magnificent host, with excellent restaurant and entertainment recommendations. He greeted us each morning at breakfast with coffees and special treats, as we watched Mount Etna fuming in the distance. He also helped us park and load the car. The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel itself was convenient for the sights. I would absolutely recommend a stay! Thanks for everything Paolo!"

"Convenient location to reach beach, restaurants and shopping as well as the ferry terminal and train. All walkable. Room was spacious. Shower was great! Breakfast was very good. Hotel staff was excellent. We didn’t like the immediate area outside the hotel which was dirty, garbage, etc. The “sea view” room we reserved didn’t have a great view due to construction. More a view of an adjacent parking lot."

The breakfast was fantastic, all fresh products; one thing that really stood out to us was the honeycomb at the buffet, dripping with delicious fresh honey. All the staff; from the dining room to the reception were truly kind and friendly, especially Giovanni, Benedetto, Sonia and Chiara! We will definitely be back and highly recommend it, as we had such a wonderful experience."
