The hotel and staff were very good. Its placed just off the main street, so you don't have to hear all the noise. There is a national forest in the back of the city that you can enjoy a nice walk with small waterfalls. The staff was spot on on all their recommendations. When we go back, we will stay here again.

Hubby and I spent 4 nights in this great hotel for our 30th anniversary. We arrived early on check in day and the room was not ready. They gave suggestions on having a bite to eat and held our luggage for us. Upon our return, we were ecstatic to find out they upgraded our room! Such a great surprise! Christian was extremely helpful and responsive. The "90 steps" property was wonderful. The shower was the first, big, good water pressure, plenty of hot water shower I've had to date in Italy.
The place has style, charm and it perfectly located in Amalfi. If you don't like the 90 steps then you probably won't like the Amalfi coast as every town is the land of stairs.
Hotel La Lucertola is a gem. It is older, has lots of charm, and the location right on the water cannot be beat. Once you arrive, you can walk anywhere in town you need to go and do not have to drive. Accessing the deck and swimming is also convenient and relaxing.

Used this hotel twice now for family reunion. Great hotel and location, they have modernized it quite a bit. Gives the feel of being on the Amalfi Coast. Didn't care much for the restaurant meals, lots of nice places in town for food.
