We loved it! The grotto/spa was awesome and I loved the little town it's in. It's about a 20min drive to San Marino old town but no big deal... You need a car anyway to visit the whole area. The concierge was very nice too!
Kudos to the hotel staff and Paolo who have all treated us like royalty. It’s magical up here. We recommend using the hotel (paid) parking due to the steep incline if you walk up with your baggage.

We ate dinner in the hotel, it has great views and the food was out of this world.
Our only complaint was that we specifically asked were told our room came with breakfast - but were then charged for it at checkout and the clerk refused to admit he told us it was included.
San Marino is a great visit and it's location near Rimini Beach is wonderful during the summer season. The Hotel is near a Parking area and, while there is a charge, it is relatively cheap. The Hotel is clean and modern. We had a corner room and an upper floor. The view was incredible! The breakfast was nice, they even freshly cooked eggs for us on demand. Shopping and eating at San Marino is neverending. The hikes around the Republic are difficult but worth the time and energy. On the weekends...
The highlight were the lovely warm pools and the surrounding hikes. If you are are club member everything is xclent...if you are a discount hotel.com guest you get a noisy room next to laundry with view of fire escape...a nd breakfast in basement. With focus on pools and hiking it is good. If ya have kids, they have some fun bits. The one bar staff guy was lovely happy and friendly...but everyone else was...just okay.
My stay was amazing. Helpful staff and walking distance to many points of interest. Only problem was the bathroom was pretty small and tight to manuver around.
My wife and I didn't make it to the hotel until after midnight. I felt bad that the hotel tried to reach out to me beforehand, to know what time I may arrive, but I was in the mountains and didn't see the message until we arrived at the hotel. The man was waiting for us...asleep on the couch behind his desk. He woke up and greeted us with a smile and was very friendly; he was clearly exhausted but showed no sign of annoyance or frustration with us. This is clearly a family-run business, and they...
Ok, this place is amazing. Cleaner than clean. More comfortable than you can imagine. The staff friendly and very accommodating. Beautiful hamlet converted to a farm stay. First class all the way. If you’re in Tuscany, near Anghiari, you owe it to yourself to stay here. We booked for one night….decided to stay for 3! Loved it loved it loved it! Thank you to Marco, Roberta, and Lorenzo.
