"Amazing place in a small charming village with a wonderful beach and view of the ocean, warm vibe of a home full of books and classical music. The host was very helpful, nice and very welcoming. Thank you for the beautiful stay !"

"The check in was very simple, the woman I spoke with on the phone was so kind and offered information for me! The kitchen was very clean and the living room was very clean and nice as well! Thanks!"
Hótel Norðurljós
10/10 Excellent
"Hotel Nordjulos in Raufarhöfn is an absolute gem—cozy, clean, and quaint, with comfortable rooms that make for a restful night. But what truly sets it apart is the people. Holmsteinn (“Steinny”) has a heart of gold—so kind, charismatic, and generous. He sat with us to chat, shared stories of his family, his wife, and his grandson (who proudly carries his name), and even offered us the chance to see their fishing boat. His twin sister, Guna (forgive me if I’ve misspelled it), was just as welcoming. The kindness and sincerity they showed reflects the very best of a small village community, and as travelers, it was incredibly comforting and memorable. We left not just with a stay, but with a story to treasure. When we return to Raufarhöfn, there’s no question we’ll stay here again—and we’ll be eager to hear about Steinny and his wife’s next trip back to Spain! "
