I stayed here in early November. I was a little nervous because some of the reviews made it sound awful. Maybe they remodeled some and upgraded since those reviews. Either way, I loved it. Super easy to find off Rt. 1, maybe 25 minutes outside of Vik. The cottage was super clean and cozy. No couch, but I'm assuming that's because there was a double bed in the "living room" and a separate bedroom on the same floor. If you plan to stay overnight in south Iceland do not miss this gem. The location is close to all the sights and activities, but the Garage is so comfortable and charming you might not want to leave the property! Cool decor and design, large and comfortable room, great amenities, and a wonderful family that owns/operates the Garage makes this a unique spot....
