We were there before the pre-ski season rush and it is clear that the new management wants to impress. The kitchen and accommodations were clean and inviting and the kitchen was well equipped and well organized (including labeled fridge and pantry locations for each room). I appreciated that they had a dishwasher which saved time in the kitchen and made me feel the dishes were actually clean unlike some other shared kitchens I’ve used. The room was more than adequate. The bathroom had been updated, but the comforter was outdated making the room appear “retro”. The beds were very comfortable and we really enjoyed the wood burning hot tub experience under the stars. It was quite lovely. We liked it so much we decided to go back to Wanaka at the end of our trip to have another day there. (Would recommend water taxi to the island called “Mou Waho” to see the island within the island.

Our room was spacious, the kitchen is well equipped, and there is a beautiful sitting area outside for a glass of wine after a day of hiking or sightseeing.
