This is a great hotel across the street from the airport but the airport shuttle is not always reliable. (Think of the worst traffic you have ever been; things don't work smoothly.) We walked what Google indicated would be 10 minutes to the hotel. But there is a fence around the Bali airport, following the map is complicated, and you have to walk a block on a main road with no sidewalk. I'm not saying don't do it if you have a problem with hotel pick-up, I'm saying be aware of what you are...
The staff is over the top kind and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic, everything you can ask for. The hotel is quiet, and they helped us, to leave our Lagguge with them for 6 days, while we were in Singapore, this was super helpful and very safe. We will be back. Thank you.
Close to the airport. We walked one mile, rather than paying $21. Huge room. The white bed cover was stained (my only negative comment). It was perfect for a few hours of sleep since we arrived at midnight and left the next day for Ubud. They need to separate the smokers from nonsmokers, since the smoke was blowing on us.
I can’t complain of my stay at all, I was listed for my free breakfast like I was supposed to be and no issues with my booking. I was picked up from the airport on time, as the email had stated to call ahead of time for pickup, so I called the day before arriving with my flight information. The room was great for the price, the pool and bar area is absolutely beautiful. My experience was very good.
If you're going to stay in this area of Bali, this is the place to stay. To be honest, I don't know if it is truly a "5 star" resort as it doesn't come close to the Ritz Carlton-level, but it is a really nice place.

Would recommend garden room at minimum. Extra price not much and worth the minimal price difference. Let’s you have a much nicer experience when in the room itself or taking advantage of the spacious terrace or exposed shower. Otherwise you are facing other buildings or parking lots.
Bali with its congestion and litter isn't really all a paradise. The moment you walk into the Trans hotel that changes. This hotel really seems to "get" the customer service/satisfaction piece. Every (and I mean every) person that we encountered over our stay was gracious, helpful and genuinely happy.
