We truly enjoyed our stay at Aviva. Rooms were really great with unique touches. The bed was probably the best I ever had. Great coffee service and lots of little lovely details. We were always addressed by our name and Adam went above and beyond offering advice. Best breakfast by far in the area. Still a little of the beaten path.
Absolutely stellar views, excellent staff, easy to communicate with. Their website offers FAQ’s which are extremely helpful in figuring things out. I drove to Panajachel and they booked a boat for me late night for my arrival and were excellent at communicating where to go, what to do, etc.

One of the best hotel experiences ever. The staff is kind and prompt, the food is fresh and delicious, the rooms are stunning, the views are stunning and the grounds of the property are a small paradise. You felt you were in your own little heaven.

This ia a fabulous old old hotel/monastery and museum, that is why I do not give a five in the condition but it was absolutely perfect for a one night stay going to the market. I would come back next time I'm in Panajachel. The grounds are beautiful to just sit and look at, read a book or talk with someone. It's very peaceful. The two Jacuzzi whirlpools are fabulous and get really hot which is great for relaxing. The breakfast was great that we had in their restaurant. This was a beautiful hotel with wonderful views of the lake. The room was clean; bed was very comfortable; it was very quiet. The restaurant upstairs had great food and overlooked the lake. The staff was helpful. There was a discrepancy in the Expedia price and the hotel price and the manager honored the Expedia price. I would highly recommend this hotel.
