We stayed for 5 nights and loved the hotel but what made the stay so special was the quality of the service from Marion Idalia and the entire staff They were amazing so helpful and knowledgeable about the island. We felt as if we were staying with family. The hotel is charming as well with large rooms that include a large outdoor patio

Had an excellent stay, great place to relax and enjoy the island especially the attraction of the planes landing and taking off at Maho.

we have stayed at the royal palm beach resort 4 times in the past years. it is one of our favorite places to stay. the staff and rooms are outstanding. I would recommend this resort to anyone.

I liked everything

We spent 4 nights at La Hibiscus. Really enjoyed everything about it. Florian gave us a free upgrade to the Jasmine suite. Large, comfortable bed, great shower and bathroom. Great terrace for sunning and looking at the mountains. We had the pool to ourselves which we loved. Very hands off approach by management which meant great privacy which we like. Only 5 minutes to Orient Beach….great choice of restaurants including a couple of breakfast places. Will definitely come back. FYI….renting a car...

This is the perfect place to have an ocean view room that is beautifully done. The hotel doesn’t offer a ton of amenities, but it’s in a great location on a beautiful beach. Come here to enjoy time with a partner, have access to beach restaurants and activities and rent a car to explore the island. Our concierge, Junior, was amazing and saved us by getting our passports to us after we had already arrived to the airport!

We took a trip as a family to celebrate three college graduations and an engagement. Due to the dates we could each go, we ended up needing to book it as three separate studios all on the lower level. After booking it as separate vacations on Expedia, I wrote to the hotel to see if they could make the rooms near each other. Pauline & Jeremy!!! Fantastic warm welcome! You can tell that these owners absolutely love their guests. Too many details to mention from the private jacuzzi to concierge services provided by Pauline. Beautiful interiors, comfortable beds. Gated neighborhood 5 minutes on foot to Orient Bay beaches and restaurants. Good old fashioned bed and breakfast atmosphere. Oh!! The amazing, not-to-miss breakfast! Highly recommended.

We had a great stay at GCBC. Beach was small, but we never had trouble finding chairs, pool was just redone and was beautiful. Restaurant was decent enough for breakfast and lunch but we went into Grand Case (a .5 mile walk) for dinner most nights. All the staff was excellent. We stayed in a loft studio and even though I enjoyed the loft, I'm not sure I would choose that room type again as the AC didn't reach the loft very well.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel L'Esplanade for a week! And it was out first time here on the French side and we enjoyed it a lot. Very comfortable and spacious accommodations with large bedroom, bathroom and Living/dining room with the full kitchen if you decide to ignore all of the restaurants nearby and decide to make a meal yourself. My wife and I have been vacationing on St. Maarten for 15 years, and this was our first time at this resort. The staff are very nice and helpful. They have two great restaurants, one on the beach and one fine dining on the resort. We stayed for seven days which was perfect. Wonderful, intimate spa like in. Modern rooms, excellent wifi, comfortable bed. If you choose, we used kitchen for our meals, but the food was very good at the poolside bar restaurant. A car is recommended as it's quite hilly. This area has great restaurants and beaches close by, and a nice taste of French culture. Peggy is a wonderful hostess. A great escape!

Great staff! Had trouble with our rental car company and staff arranged to have different company drop car at hotel for us, such a breeze! My only issue was with the parking. There is only room for 3 small cars to park. Once we were unable to leave the premises because non-guests were parked in front of our car with no way to contact them.

The moment we walked in, we were greeted by a super friendly staff. Checking in was easy, the room was great with a beautiful view (our room was on the 3rd floor), the pool was great, and they have strong wifi, which comes in handy when you have no phone service and need to contact someone. It's also just around the corner from a supermarket store and a pizza place.

Horrible parking

The hotel is in a very nice location, 10 steps and you are on the beach! The hotel is cooperating with a nice little bar , good drinks and nice service, right outside called The Pink Flamingo, ask for Stephan.... so you can get free deck chairs and sun umbrella, fantastic! A local Supermarket in a walking distance otherwise take the local bus for € 1.50 and in few minutes it will take to a bigger one. Buses are leaving right behind the hotel from the Backstreet taking you allover this...

Third stay in St Maarten/Martin since 1993. By far the nicest hotel of my 3 stays. While not directly on a beach, a short drive to Orient, or across the street to Dawn Beach at the Westin. We were on the upper level, building B and had a great view of the ocean across the street. Actually you can drove about anywhere on the island in 30 to 45 minutes depending on traffic.
