The Green Dragon Inn - Hardraw
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely traditional old pub, lovely dinner and breakfast. Rooms were furnished to a high quality, bathroom a little small. Nice touch with coffee with a cafetiere and teas and biscuits. Plenty of hanging space and plug sockets. Surrounding area was beautiful and peaceful, the waterfalls and great walks all around..cannot recommend enough."
The Wensleydale Hotel
8/10 Good
"Clean room, great breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff"
Redworth Hall Hotel
8/10 Good
"The staff were fantastic, really nice. The room was massive, but missed out on 5-star as the shower was pathetic; there was a better shower in the pool. Food was a good selection, and the beer on tap was fantastic. Overall, I had a great break. It would have been excellent if the shower in the room had power.not like dripping tap"
The George Of Piercebridge
8/10 Good
"Room 221 was very spacious with patio doors onto a balcony and a window with a river view, a lovely bathroom with walk in shower and double aspect windows too. Unusual these days but very welcome for fresh air. Staff were very welcoming and the bar man/night manager was very helpful and hard working. Breakfast was good but didn’t have time time to try the new evening menu as we were out most days touring round Richmond, Middleton in Teesdale, and Barnard castle areas till late."
The Fox Hall Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Very nice room, clean and great for our stay. Only comment is shower not easy to use without getting water everywhere and if you don’t want to wash your hair, and beyond their control but the road was noisy with Lorry’s - we had read this so knew to expect it . The touches for our puppy were lovely (bowls, poo bags, treats, a ball and bed were left out for us). We arrived really late but staff were lovely and welcoming. Breakfast was cute in the basket which was delivered at the time requested and enabled us to set off in the morning without needing to stop again for breakfast although I can recommend Mainsgill farm shop just a couple minutes along the road. Good tea and coffee facilities in the room with decaf tea and decaf coffee also offered. A lot of great space behind the building in a field for letting the puppy run around before getting back in the car. Would definitely stay again."
The Golden Fleece Hotel, Thirsk, North Yorkshire

"Central location, had parking and enjoyed the extra touches, such as walking into room with classic fm playing and coffee machine"

Fox & Hounds Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Patricia and Andy were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. We stayed for a wedding at Bolton Castle and so the B&B was perfect for what we needed."
The Saddle Room Restaurant
10/10 Excellent
"Incredible stay at The Saddle Rooms. Easy check in with very helpful staff. Treated to a lovely twin room named 'The Pretender ' (all rooms named after famous racehorses) with my son. Attention to detail wonderful. Amazing large bathroom with true waterfall shower. Comfortable beds and air conditioning/systems that actually worked. We had dinner which was worth every penny. Breakfast was delicious and wonderful too. Gorgeous setting - stone built properties. Courtyard. Grounds stunning. Being on the Tupgill estate by the incredible Forbidden Corner was a bonus too. I've stayed in a number of places around the world and I can honestly say this could be in my top 5."
