Room was luxurious and location excellent - peaceful but accessible from main road through village. Plenty of parking as the 2 rooms are behind the village cafe which has lots of parking space. Because they're round the back it's peaceful and there's a nice garden area with seating to enjoy in fine weather. Shower was good too. Big advantage if you're a late riser - breakfast is 9 - 11 and checkout till 12! Only quibble is you eat in the cafe which can get very busy at weekends and we waited...
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Marshall Meadows Manor House. We stayed one night, but ate dinner and the included breakfast at the hotel. The room was clean, the food excellent, and the staff genuinely helpful. The manager assisted with luggage, provided us with helpful advice for our destination the following day, and was very attentive while also serving at the restaurant. We loved this place. The room was cozy, clean, and quiet. We at dinner (which we planned when arrived) and did the breakfast in the morning. Nobody left hungry!
The restaurant was downstairs and although they have a pub/bar, it closes at about 10 pm; we weren't able to get a drink after dinner due to the timing.

Great place to relax. the outdoor pool was divine and our room was comfortable. Breakfast choices were extensive and the porridge was delicious.

We had an amazing stay from start to finish. Ian gave us a tour if the castle along with a history. The rooms were cozy, the bed was very comfortable. The owners even gave us a ride to the tram when we were unable to find a taxi. Sue and Ian are a friendly helpful couple.

She gave us a lot of information about dining options in the area and information about taking the local train (we were taking a train to London the next day).
