Excellent
Maldon High Street has plenty of character for during the day, and situated close to the river Blackwater, so good for walks. Plenty of pubs to visit during the evening, which can be lively at the weekend.

I have been coming to Maldon for over half a century and still find new things
"My second stay here and although i didnt get a free upgrade this time my standard room was well equipped, very clean and really quiet which was lovely as I'm not a good hotel sleeper. The gym is good for a hotel gym with plenty of equipment, also very clean."
"Loved the four poster bed. Room very comfortable and excellent shower. Great breakfast choices. Accommodation very convenient for town centre. Will stay again"
"Fatastic hotel and our room and ensuite was lovely, my only issue was the mattress was rather noisy. Breakfast was lovely but please try either Linda McCartney or Cauldren veggie sausages as even meat eaters love them. If we're ever in the area again we'll definately stay at The Blue Boar. The staff were lovely too."

"Lovely little hotel at the side of the Aviator pub, check in at the pub was easy and staff are very friendly. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable and a lovely big screen TV. The food at the pub is good value especially the breakfast."
"First time staying at a Holiday Inn Express and it was amazing! We stayed for the Ed Sheeran concert and upon arrival we were gifted a brown bag with water, biscuits & a Kit Kat, so thoughtful. The bar and food were great and reasonably priced. The room was big, clean and beds were very comfy. "
