What a wonderful place to stay. Tain is a small and charming town. My husband golfed at Royal Dornoch and it was an easy drive. Most important the staff at No. Ten was fantastic. SO accommodating and kind. And the breakfast had a great variety and was substantial. I highly recommend the location!!
This was a convenient, yet quiet, place to spend a couple of nights relatively close (for an American) to Inverness. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and had great views. If visiting in warm weather, no A/C might be an issue for you, but the windows open and we were comfortable in September. On-site breakfast and restaurant were very handy and tasty. Easy parking. If it had a lift/elevator, it would be perfect.
The best B & B I’ve stayed in. The host Helen is absolutely lovely, and fixes an amazing breakfast. The room was charming, well decorated, and had amenities such as body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and a hair dryer. Tea, water and a couple snacks were also provided in the room. A wonderful place, I hope one day to return.
I would recommend this place again and again. The owners had recently taken over and it was a truly fantastic experience. The grounds are beautiful, very convenient to the beach, and the rooms are huge. The only note I would add is that there's no lift/elevator so be prepared for the possibility of walking some rather narrow stairs. That said, breakfast is menu based and delicious, the family that runs the facility is absolutely the kindest, and I plan to return here in the future and see...
One of our favorite places during our entire trip to Scotland. The amazing, kind, friendly staff is the biggest highlight. But everything else is a close second- the rooms were spacious and comfortable, the breakfast was wonderful (try the eggs Benedict), and the one block access to the golf course was wonderful!
The staff at the Culloden House could not have been more helpful - from arrival, to meal service and through departure. We were a party of five and occupied three rooms - which they expertly assigned to us in close proximity The Hotel is an antique but the interiors are fabulous, bathrooms are modern and the maintenance is top notch. There is no sacrifice of comfort to preserve the antiques. The quality of foods and beverrages are on par with the quality of the Hotel. We knew our 5:00 a.m....
Beautiful quiet countryside, lambs in the farm just across the gate excellent instruction, book with photos and how to instructions for everything in the pod. It was the best instruction of welcome manual I’ve seen in all of my stays at different locations throughout Scotland.
The Cawdor house was lovely! The room was very clean, the bed comfortable and the room well equipped with tea, bottled water and a strong hot shower. The innkeeper was very friendly and helpful.
