The staff were very accommodating, the front desk employees were exceptional. The experience from check in to check out, the location and food were all great. The only issue we had was getting back to the hotel on the days we were in the city. Uber doesn't go to that area as yet. But would definitely stay there again. City Hotel is part of the reason our first time in Scotland was so enjoyable.
We were exhausted when we arrived. The staff was very tolerant of my lack of clarity from the fatigue. The room was clean and comfortable although not very spacious but the price was great. The water in the shower was hot and it was a good shower in terms of water pressure and space. The breakfast had options and there was enough space to be comfortable. Unbelievably attentive staff, excellent dinner, all that you would expect fom a 5 star hotel -- and this in Scone. And the golf course suited my play. My only regret, staying one night and not one week.
This place is a Gem! Location is spectacular! I would suggest fans in the rooms and a volume/time limit for Djs as they have lots of weddings. Staff was amazing. Pub and kitchen wonderful. I travel often and I was beyond pleased with the value
Ellie, the receptionist, was AMAZING. We arrived at the hotel exhausted and frustrated due to getting lost and other reasons not involving the hotel. I was not very nice when we arrived and irritated about not finding the parking lot. Lovey, kind, and helpful Ellie took care of us. She went above and beyond to comfort us and make us comfortable. She even exited the hotel and personally took me to the parking lot!!! God bless you Ellie for a wonderful stay.
Check in was smooth. No lift but successful in lugging 30+kg. suitcase up & down 3 flights of stairs. Room was impeccably clean. Room safe was difficult to access due to its position on floor of closet and tendency to entrap tiny objects in door which forced me to call for help. We stayed at The Raeburn for one night on a recent trip to Edinburgh but wish we could have stayed a few more! The room was huge with lovely woodwork and a marble bathroom (the fixtures were top-notch with a huge tub, huge shower, double sink, and towel warmer).
