THE SPACE TO STAY APARTHOTEL
10/10 Excellent
"This is university student housing that is repurposed into an aparthotel during the summer break. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. I stayed in the separate Bonnybank building on Floor 2 in the back. The room was clean, very nicely sized with a small couch and desk area in addition to the bed and kitchenette, and separate bathroom. The soundproofing from the hallway could be improved but unless you open a window, outside noise wasn’t disturbingly loud. In the main building, there is a laundry room with several machines (download app to use, soap required though other guests left extras). There are also microwaves in the communal room outside the laundry room. I didn’t cook in the room but I did use the plates, cups, cutlery, and refrigerator. There was also a restaurant, Social open on site. There are both an Aldi and M&S grocery store 5-minute drive/15-minute walk away. If you don’t have a car, factor costs for taxis, or an uphill 20-minute walk to city centre."
Balcomie Links Hotel

"Perfect"
The Waterfront
10/10 Excellent
"I review leisure accommodation for a living and was extremely impressed with The Waterfront. The accommodation was a good standard, staff very friendly, position superb, and generally everything was as could as it could be. Where it really excelled though was the food, which was some of the best we've had, and we eat out a lot. I had the best fish pie I've ever eaten and the best breakfast too. This really is a total gem of a find and we are planning to go back for longer next time. There was only one minus point - our bedroom looked out over a pavement area, which was a bit noisy at times, but to be honest we had a large TV and once we had that on it didn't bother us. Don't let this put you off the stay, it's an amazing place to eat, so definitely book a table - you won't regret it! It is obviously well known as one of the best places to dine in the area as it was busy so you'll need to secure your table."
