The family room was lovely. Double bed for the adults and two singles for the teens with s sitting area and desk. Included breakfast had lots of variety. Room was clean and quiet. The restaurant had wonderful food with so many different options and portions were huge. No issue finding space in the car park even though they had an event taking place when we arrived.
Other than repeated difficulties we had finding the hotel upon returning from our daily genealogical research outings in the area, we had the MOST wonderful experience at this hotel.
The rooms were well-appointed and clean. The food--both the menu and preparation--was of the highest quality (i.e., what I might expect for a large city restaurant, but found in this small town on the outskirts of Leeds). It was SO good, we ended up eating almost every meal there during our stay! Homemade soups,...
I had a choice of hotels in Leeds or the Black Horse. I'm so glad I chose the latter. Some extra driving, but great to be in a historic building in a historic area, and so close to the motorway and service station.
I thoroughly enjoyed my one night stay.
The downside was the food from the bar, which was not up to the Hotel standards. I did talk with the manager and he compensated my meal which was kind. The reason I mentioned this is so that they can improve the cooking method to make the food more palatable.
The two young ladies at the front desk were charming and very, very helpful.
I would recommend this Hotel to anyone who asks.
Booked this after reading mixed reviews and so glad I did. Superior Room on 7th floor was excellent with great views and was clean and in good order throughout. Air conditioning was spot-on. Great hotel, handy for the theatre, good breakfast and decent price. All good, would recommend and use again.
