Such a wonderful property, and the rooms are so very clean and comfortable. We slept so well, and were treated quite nicely. Kate is such a lovely host, and her brekkie is top-notch. We enjoyed chatting with her as we ate, and found her delightful and helpful. The farm setting is so peaceful (for us guest that is, a lot of hard work for owners), and the location is great for visiting the Lizard and other places around south Cornwall. Thank you much for such a great stay!
We used the hotel as a base to explore the Lizard and Land’s End peninsulas. Very nice rooms, lovely breakfast, and the staff went out of their way to be helpful.

For our 4 nights in Cornwall we stayed at a very quaint Bed and Breakfast in Truro. Centrally located, it was a great place to stay and "wagon wheel" our day trips. From there, relatively speaking (by Texas standards) you can easily drive to many towns, fishing villages, beaches and other sites. We visited, Port Isaac, Tintagel, St Ives, Penzance, Land's End, Porthcurno and Minack Theatre. Lovely hotel in the charming town of Marazion with the best view I've ever had from a hotel window (st Michaels Mount). The staff were very attentive and welcoming. Breakfast was very good and highly reccomended.
A beautiful property. Just a short walk from town. Excellent restaurant. We enjoyed breakfast with our room and did stay for dinner 2 nights as the food was fabulous. Service was perfect - attentive and friendly. Thank you Alverton. Next time in Truro, we will make the Alverton our base.
If you are interested in exploring Cornwall, this is a great location to do it from you are a short distance from the north and south coasts as well as the western end of the country. You have access to very good roads. On top of that, you will find yourself in a well appointed room being helped be an excellent staff. We’re vegetarians and we found very good meals.

Review, it is hard to get a real review. Well this place is the real deal. Everything from the moment we arrived to the day we left was first class. The presentation and quality of food was done with care and love. They are incredible ambassadors for the town and for the hosbitality industry . The staff was was extremely helpful with any questions and needs we had. If you are planning on going to St. Ives this where you need to stay.
Excellent customer service by helping us with luggage to our room and waiting on payment until we were settled in. We were able to order food from their restaurant and they delivered it to our room. The bed is super comfy and the room has all the amenities we need. The only issue is parking but we lucked out and someone left while we were looking for a space.
This is not an old or beautiful hotel, but its location at the edge of town means a 10min walk to the station, 25min into town centre (uphill returning!), and lovely rural views from the beer garden, or from your room if the large windows face in that direction.
