Even without a car, the location is good since there is a bus station close to the hotel with direct service to Glasgow. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

My wife and 10-month-old baby stayed here for four nights on holiday from the United States. This was the end of our trip traveling through the UK and we were very happy with our stay. The location of the hotel was excellent, the rooms were nice, and the staff were very friendly. Although there were two fire alarms that went off out of the hotel's control, they responded very promptly and made sure all customers were taken care of. Great hospitality and very welcoming!!!

The staff was incredibly friendly. The historic building is beautiful. The room was spacious and had a kitchen. Everything was spotless. The bathroom shower was large, great water pressure and temperature. The bed is super comfortable. They don't make up the rooms daily, as it is an apartment hotel. I'm so sad that we were only in town for one night. My sister and I did a road trip around Scotland, and this was our last night. It was the BEST hotel we stayed in. The staff was amazing and nice. The hotel was quirky and upscale. The breakfast was delicious (the best we had eaten the whole time we were in Scotland).
