Hotel de l’Abbaye offered almost everything we would need for a fully relaxing and wonderful stay. Once you are in the property you find that it sits on a hill overlooking the surrounding area, has lovely, well-kept and furnished grounds including a big swimming pool. The Maya room we had looked out over the town with beautiful views, a nice sitting room and a big very clean bathroom. Great place tucked away with all the dordogne towns quickly accessible by car. Loved the property and pool. Paul and Marilou are exceptional mangers of the property.

The hotel is well appointed, the rooms large, and the Proprietor, who spoke excellent English, was very helpful. The room we had, admittedly the cheapest option, had a strange layout, with the toilet across a small double bed from the rest of the bath. Worst of all, there was only a tub, 3 feet off the floor, with a handheld shower nozzle-- which is hard for an older couple. We had such a wonderful stay at La Sarlamandre. Our hosts, Stéphy and Séb were so kind and welcoming from the start. The rooms are very clean and feel brand new.
Breakfast was delicious with homemade jams and cake.
