This was a great stay. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was good, and the staff was super welcoming. The only improvement I would recommend is enhancing the internet coverage, as the signal was weaker than we expected.
When we booked this hotel, we somehow thought it was in Marbella and right on the beach...we were wrong on both counts. It is in Casares (near Marbella) and is about a 5-minute drive up the road from the beach. No matter, it has its own private Beach Club with prompt shuttle service. While the Beach Club is beautiful with a wonderful restaurant and spectacular pool, the beach itself is very uninspiring. Love our stay it was clean and in a great area. The staff was very helpful and we really enjoyed our time. Would go again.there is many restaurants in the area if felt very safe . We loved Estepona great place we also did a day trip to girbraltar which was fun. The people there are very friendly and the beach and bars are just steps away.
I stayed at El Pilar last March and returned for one night because of the service, location and beautiful property. The front desk is always helpful and always wear a smile. The recognized I had been there in March, so check in was easy. The roof top bar is awesome as is a light breakfast downstairs.
The place is gorgeous, you feel so relax. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very comfortable for a family of 4. The only issue I had was the water in the pool was very cold, but either way we got in and enjoyed it. We had the breakfast buffet, which was delicious. We will definitely be back.
The place was ultra clean and even better looking than the photos. Great pool. We did walk to town and back once but a car or uber is needed if you return late. It was nice exploring the old town & beach but enjoyed returning ln the afternoon. Large Aldi not far to get food for meals if needed.
The staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations for local sightseeing and places to eat. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The settings in a beautiful valley was very quiet and relaxing.
Tip: don't take dirt road from main road that Google maps recommends. Rough road! Keep driving past the turn to new route that will start with asphalt road when you turn off of the main road. This road turns into much easier dirt road.
You stay in a castle on the top of a hill. That alone is all you need to know. A unique place, people live in the castle with property being bought and sold. Interesting place just to walk around. Restaurant was good and reasonably priced for its location. We stayed in a two bedroom unit with kitchen--good if you were looking to stay a while, but we only stayed a day. The AC is great.
