Excellent location at the base of the castle and a block from the beach. Great AC in the room. There's a small restaurant downstairs and many other restaurants nearby. If you like nature walks, check out the raised boardwalk at the Marjal nature preserve area about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. It's so peaceful and beautiful! The only thing we didn't like about the hotel is the glass door on the bathroom that only has tinting on about 2/3's of it. Who that was a good idea for a bathroom...

Our view of the eclipse was left to whims of the weather but we got lucky. It was spectacular. Our accommodations were not left to chance and I highly recommend RH Silene Hotel & Spa in Castellon de la Plana. The staff was most helpful and most spoke Spanish and English. The hotel is a short walk to the beach and also has two pools. The buffet meals were delicious and I recommend the half board which gives you breakfast and your choice of lunch or dinner on a daily basis.
