First trip to Germany, and my wife and I stayed here to enjoy Oktoberfest! Couple of quick tips and notes:
1) You're a 5 minute walk to the main Oktoberfest venue, which is a series of huge tents where people drink and sing all day. You won't need an Uber to get around the main areas of the city.
2) Your right across from the train station! Super quick access in/out of Munich.

The fact that Hotel Europa is slightly off the beaten path (though ON the tram line) counts as an advantage. Though we were one of the first customers to stay in this new hotel, this hotel was amazing. It was clean, it was comfortable, and the staff was friendly. There were some areas where they were still putting on the finishing touches, but those areas did not detract from the stay.
