Ruth, the owner of this lovely hotel made us feel like family. We had a delicious dinner at the restaurant. The breakfast included a variety of breads, cold cuts, cheeses, marmalade, yogurts and fruit, boiled egg, juices and Coffee. A great breakfast to start the day. The bed was very comfortable. We highly recommend Hotel-Restaurant SchöpPerle! We will be back at our next visit to the Black Forest . Thank you Hotel-Restaurant SchöpPerle for a fantastic stay.

It's a very good base for walking in the area, though the lake is not as pretty as Titisee up the road. Parking was easy, luckily, but they also give you a pass while you're there and you can take the train wherever you want. If you have a dog, the facilities are good and they were very kind. There's a nice park just up the hill, great for early morning or late night walkies. Very convenient to a grocery store, an atm, and right across the street from the tourist information center! The staff...

We were looking for a smaller hotel with a traditional Schwarzwald flair in a beautiful location, and this fit the bill perfectly! This is an old house, but entirely up to modern standards inside, with a friendly staff and warm feel. The room was cozy, looking out on the quiet main plaza with its church. We had dinner twice in the excellent restaurant. Breakfast was great - don't forget to make yourself fresh juice or even get eggs to order. There was even a small swimming pool, sauna, a...

We LOVED our stay at Hotel Hochfirst overall. What might be news to international travelers is that many hotels in Germany don't do housekeeping daily. The Hotel Hochfirst has a hy

Annette was WONDERFUL! as was the hotel....just lovely!

This property is amazing, Our spacious rooms were above the stables, no elevator. We could hear the horses neighing on occasion and hear them being walked by at different times of the day. We all said we could live here. The grounds are pristine. The breakfast (15eu pp) was fabulous. Unfortunately, the restaurant for lunch and dinners was closed on Mon/Tuesdays. We would stay here over and over. Only 25-20 min to Zurich airport. 15 min to Rheinfalls.

The hotel was very quiet and the room was spacious and looked like the pictures. The breakfast was hearty and fresh.

This was an amazing place, beautiful hotel, beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, clean and tidy. The view from the balcony of the restaurant was amazing. The only thing was that the breakfast was nothing fancy. Other than that, 10/10.

Great hotel close to the city center. Rooms were very clean and the breakfast was delicious!

The hotel is immediately located beyond the train station, and is central to shops and restaurants. From my room, I experienced beautiful views of the mountains and enjoyed natural light within the well maintained and nicely decorated room. Staff were incredibly kind and the restaurant served tasteful meals each night of my stay. I highly recommend Hotel Schwarzwaldhof Gutzweiler for anyone traveling to Hinterzarten and/or Ravenna Gorge. Also, it is only one train stop from Lake Titisee, making...

Very cozy

Very nice hotel in the middle of Black Forest. Neat room with a cross country ski at the wall. Excellent breakfast

I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, everything felt warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully cared for. The cleanliness stood out immediately. Every space, from the rooms to the dining areas, was spotless and beautifully maintained. It created a sense of calm and comfort that made it easy to relax. The staff were exceptional. Kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, they made the entire experience feel personal without ever being intrusive. Their hospitality added...
