Lovely remote chalet that is still ideally situated in the black forest to visit, with a short drive, the clock makers and glass blowers and triburg falls. Owners are very friendly, the food is excellent, and the rooms are comfortable.

It's a very good base for walking in the area, though the lake is not as pretty as Titisee up the road. Parking was easy, luckily, but they also give you a pass while you're there and you can take the train wherever you want. If you have a dog, the facilities are good and they were very kind. There's a nice park just up the hill, great for early morning or late night walkies. Very convenient to a grocery store, an atm, and right across the street from the tourist information center! Lovely little boutique hotel. We had beautiful rooms with everything we needed. Parking was easy and right in front of the entrance. Staff was friendly and responsive and the breakfast food was delicious and thoughtfully made. At first, the breakfast buffet doesn’t look very plentiful, but everything is refilled quickly and eggs and smoothies offered after you sit down. Enjoyable stay!
