We had a great stay at Sonneneck! We enjoyed the local town of Winterberg and the local area for hiking and site seeing as well. We had an apartment at Sonneneck that was very spacious, comfortable, secure and beautiful. We also had supper at the Sonneneck restaurant and the meal was the best we had in our entire European vacation! Huub and the Sonneneck team were very hospitable and we enjoyed talking with them and having several beers with them while we stayed there. We had such a great time...

Cute Hotel in quaint village outside of Marburg. The room was spotless, the front desk staff super helpful, and the food was great. Breakfast was included in our room cost as was a full buffet. Dinner in the restarant was great. Location was a bit more outside of Marburg than stated (seemed more like 7 miles vs 3 km) and buses are infrequent. But cabs and rideshares are reasonable. Take a walk around the town - cute farm buildings!
