Half of the building is over the bay, so walking up to the rail you're guaranteed to see unique birds and small fish...possibly a crocodile or a stingray. The layout is unique in that the guest rooms open right into the dining and bar area. I quickly got used to it and found it convenient. The bar shuts down at 10pm, so unwelcome noise also stops at 10pm. The food is good and the staff is friendly. If you're from the US, be aware that the service culture is different. Beautiful rainforest property with good birding opportunity, birds song, cicadas, and frogs, but "touristy", so the natural vibe gets ruined. It seems they cater to tour groups, so not very private or queit. Have to pay for 3 meals a day but on their schedule that's too late for serious birding and not as healthy as I'd prefer. I travel solo and do not enjoy sitting by myself or wasting time I could be out finding birds sitting in a restaurant. I go ut birding before daybreak so, lunch as late...
