Great property that is small and personable! They seem to have thought of it all as far as things to use at their facility. They have bikes, movies, games, umbrellas, beach chairs, games, towels and so much more. We just weren't there ling enough to us it all. They are also an easy walk to the beach, shopping, and a ton of restaurants.
Awesome spot with great food and great coffee. We stayed in the train car and loved it. Staff was so friendly. Beach is gorgeous and so close. Live music every night. We loved it!
The place is lovely and very well located, but it is an apartment, not a hotel. We didn't get cleaning service for our three day stay. On the other hand, there is a fully stocked kitchen.
We stayed for three nights over the Christmas holidays, the height of summer. We loved this resort, and our villa was amazing. Our daughter lived in the pool while my husband and I tried to get cool in the AC. Our complaints are similar to others here... the villa wasn't super clean when we checked in. It really just needed to be refreshed and swept. There were a lot of cobwebs and spiders/spider dirt in the corners and the floors were dirty. We did notify the front desk, and she offered to have...
The property is spotless and ideally situated. Manager Paul is incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring our stay is enjoyable. In addition, the villa dog, Bruce, is so lovely and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed playing with him.
For the most part, this was an amazing hotel. The swim up balcony and spa tip were great, as well as the dishwasher AND laundry facilities in the room! The staff was extraordinarily helpful and friendly, although some were definitely more knowledgeable than others.
My main complaints\ is the exhorbatent price for wifi access. A hotel of this caliber should either include it in the room charge, or not offer it at all as its philosophy.
Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Great location, within walking distance of main center and port, yet far enough away to be peaceful. On-site laundry, parking, outdoor kitchen area by pool - all great. Definitely recommend to guests who enjoy genuine hospitality in a low-key environment.

We had a nice stay in Cairns, which was involuntarily extended by 4 days when our flight to Guam was canceled due to Tropical Storm Vongfong bearing down on Guam. Great place! Private rooms but shared spaces and kitchen encourages community. Restaurant had great pricing and food, though food took a while. Staff were incredibly friendly, nice clean space in the room and around the property. Great location to everything in port Douglas and Mossman
We had a great stay here to wrap up a month of traveling. It was quiet, and great location near shopping, restaurants, and the beach. Robin and Sonya, the hosts, were extremely helpful and all around great! Highly recommend!
Our stay at the Meridian was fantastic. John and Sue were so lovely and incredibly welcoming during our stay. The room was clean and super quiet. The laundry facility was really handy. But above all else, the location can't be beat. Right at the top of the main avenue, and two blocks from the beach / swimming area. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great value for their time in Port Douglas.
