Excellent place to stay in Hawks Nest. They have sites for tents & caravans, amenities, cabins, glaming tents, even a pool! Excellent staff too. Across the road is an excellent tavern, the Benchmark on Booner & you won't be able to stop eating the beer battered fries!!
Unfortunately My last minute booking was to attend a funeral. Hotel was very central to where I needed to be . Room was great. Location was ideal as I could walk across the road to Salamander Shops to get a quick meal. Resort looked lovely- amazing pool.
The word that comes to mind is magical. Amazing experience staying in the glamping tent. The birds, the stars, the view.. it was just magical! There are 2 resident koalas but we were not sble to find them. Really great food at Cheeky Dog right down the street as well.

We enjoyed our 2 days getting to know the area. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony and stayed dry even when it was raining. Restaurant was good. So was the pool after it cleared out.
We had an excellent stay at the Peninsula Nelson Bay. The location was perfect, just up the street from the beach, and the shops and restaurants of Nelson Bay. The staff was also wonderful. They were super helpful and accomodating. We will definitely be staying here again next time we are in the area!
