Wonderful bed and breakfast to stay during weekend getaways. I was a tourist from the USA and the property owners were polite, attentive and courteous. The room was spacious with windows overlooking the lake. I would highly recommend this location for you future stays at the Lake District!
I only stayed for one night and therefore didn't have time to explore the surroundings fully. However, the room was clean, spacious and comfortable, the breakfast had everyyhing and more you could expect . The location is excellent and I would certainly consider using it as a base for any furture planned visits in and around the Keswick area.

My husband and I didn't know what to expect. We pulled up right after dark and we were greeted with a hotel that resembled a castle all lit up and beautiful. The staff (Tom and Tom) were outstanding and incredibly helpful. We decided to stay in and eat/drink in the restaurant which was had great food. What a beautiful property! The rooms are spacious and lovely with comfy beds, we slept with the window open to hear the babbling brook that runs along next door. Thus us the second time in the past five years that my family and I have booked a multi-day stay at the Three Shires Inn. This time, again, we were enormously pleased with our visit. The amenities, the food, the location, and particularly the staff were all first-rate. As was the weather, surprisingly. Only the traffic on the narrow roads was a challenge.
We really enjoyed our stay at Craglands. Eldon is an excellent host who makes a mean breakfast and is lovely to chat with. We would happily stay again!
