The hosts were very kind since the moment we arrived. The rooms were very cozy and extremely clean. Home made English breakfast was also very good. The only major issue we faced was the room didn't have blackouts and there was a street light next to one of the window. My wife couldn't sleep with all the light. For me it was fine...
Hope to return soon.
My husband and I didn't know what to expect. We pulled up right after dark and we were greeted with a hotel that resembled a castle all lit up and beautiful. The staff (Tom and Tom) were outstanding and incredibly helpful. We decided to stay in and eat/drink in the restaurant which was had great food. We were so sad to leave and wished we would have had a couple more nights. Our room was clean and had an amazing view. The hotel is located in the Lake District and everything about our stay was...
Everything here is brand new, in a very old manor. We spent considerable time with two of the three managers while we were there, and found them to be incredibly accommodating and kind. The room was wonderful. Spacious and clean, bed very comfortable, bathroom lovely. The bar downstairs in the old wine cellar is a vibe. Breakfast was the among the best we had throughout our entire trip through Europe. The selection was unreal, and made to order. I honestly couldn't believe it on the first...
We had a very lovely time Mike and Elena were the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much.
The hotel has been refurbished to a high standard and the conservatory and outside dining space was brilliant.
The food was delicious and plenty of it ( too much)
We will definitely go back
The locals were very friendly to strangers
Thus us the second time in the past five years that my family and I have booked a multi-day stay at the Three Shires Inn. This time, again, we were enormously pleased with our visit. The amenities, the food, the location, and particularly the staff were all first-rate. As was the weather, surprisingly. Only the traffic on the narrow roads was a challenge.
Glenn and Susann were lovely hosts who showed us great hospitality. The bed was very comfortable, and breakfast was skillfully cooked to order, full of options and served with great attention. We enjoyed our stay at Storrs Gate House during our time in the Lake District.
The property and staff are great. The area is a good place to. Visit to relax and enjoy food and beverage. There was any a lot to do in the Lake District other than that.
