Security is onsite and were very friendly and helpful, as were the desk staff. The washing machine in-house was very handy. Well equipped, modern and clean. We didn't know anything about this place, but would go back in a heartbeat. We stayed in one of the tents, but don't let the word "tent" fool you. Yes it does have canvas walls, but you are on a wood foundation, complete with shower and toilet facilities. They also provide chalets if the "tent" thing is to adventurous for you. The grounds are beautiful and landscaped very well, and the staff is very attentive. Oh, and the food is very good as well. We recommend the Porterhouse Steak for 2....
Our visit here was amazing the staff bent over backwards to make sure we were comfortable the rooms were clean and the food was great.

I arrived much earlier than check-in time, they accommodated me without hesitation. The staff was really nice. The food was great. The breakfast is unbelievable. My room was very clean and organized. The security at this property is top notch. Every vehicle entering the gate is scanned and intent is verified. The reception at our arrival was so genuinely warm and professional. Busisiwe and Foreman made us feel welcome and special. Our room was especially clean and spacious. Paying the small fee for breakfast was a win! It was not your continental...

This hotel is so nice, well decorated, the rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The Staff is very helpful and welcoming. I want to specially mention Catherine and the kitchen staff, they were so kind and attentive during our stay.
Safety is of prime concern in South Africa, and African Pride is in an island of security in Melrose Arch along with a group of stores, a mall, and many restaurants. An easy drive to Rosebank Sunday Market and the Apartheid Museum. An hour to Maropeng and Prretoria. Highly recommend!
The Hyde Park Villas are located in a safe and tranquil neighbourhood. Shops such as the Hyde Park Corner are a short walk away and Rosebank Mall is a bus stop away. The place itself is neat,rooms are clean with well tended gardens outside. The host is on hand to cook a home-made sumptuous breakfast. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the place. It offers a luxury stay at a great price.
