Booked a superior room because of the pool with it. However, was very disappointed with the condition of the pool. Water looked murky and was not warm at all! Also, the spa officially closes at 8 but by 6:50 the flotation pool and Jacuzzi were closed
Woodlands Gardens is located near Magaliesberg. The accomodation was clean and well looked after. The common areas i.e. the pool was very nice. The owners have very friendly dogs and our dogs were welcomed and enjoyed it very much. Locates close to many hiking areas and restaurants. The owners are friendly and have good communication with guests. A little on the priciers side for what you are getting but still a great weekend away.
It’s a very well kept property which is next to main road. Host Rochelle and her husband is very welcoming and kind. We, a pack of 5 people went there to Braai, party and have a fun night and we really had a great time.
Breakfast was okay. A special mention to the bread that is very well made.

My place looks very exquisite. I had great time of my life plus it was my birthday weekend. The staff was very friendly and helpful, attended to every need. The spa looks beautiful, well furnished, the ambience and great staff too. The food was delicious. No complaints
Absolutely beautiful and I’ll definitely go back. However our room only had a bath and no shower which wasn’t ideal. Our room was a little dark and small windows but somehow slept better than in years. I’d go back and be more selective on rooms.
Valverde Country Hotel was perfect for my time in South Africa. The rooms were furnished with lovely antiques and the gardens were immaculately groomed. A room on the second floor has the best internet connection. The restaurant offers a nice selection and happily meets special dietary requests. There is no AC for hot months; but that goes for most hotels in SA. I plan to stay again in December.
We loved the piece and quiet and beautiful/breath-taking surroundings. The staff were friendly and the food was impeccable. We were not impressed with how we were greeted, the coffee in the room was not replaced on a regular basis which means you had to ask for replacements, the towels that were removed were not replaced. There was no welcoming package (as with other **** hotels) i.e. chocolates on the bed or table.
The staff were friendly and helpful..the rooms were clean and tidy and also the amenities were good...only one major issue is when there was a power failure for about 16 hours we didn't have any backup power supply from the hotel....other than that it was a great stay.
