My wife and I are on a 5 week trip around central, eastern and northern Spain. When visiting bigger..or pricier...cities we like to stay a bit out of town in a 4 star place which is inexpensive and yet has great accessibility to its main city. The Hotel K10 in rural Urnieta is perfect: only 12 mins by train from San Sebastian (and a 10 min, delightful walk through nice country and a bit of the town to get to the station), plus regular and cheap train service. Highly recommended.
This place is quiet and rooms are spacious for Europe. We used the bus BU13 to go to the old city several times and it worked well for us. Breakfast is of great quality. The girls at the front desk were very nice and helpful. We will definitely repeat this hotel next time
Hôtel récent neuf avec vue sur mer, décoration intérieure style paquebot très originale, grande chambre, lit confortable. Le restaurant propose des plats délicieux. Le côté bar a aussi des calamars grillés excellents. À/C très efficace. Personnel sympathique et prêt à aider. Salle de sport au top. Nous n’avons pas essayé le SPA. Le parking était dans la rue devant l’hôtel qui nous a donné un panneau à mettre sur le tableau de bord pour la durée du séjour.

We had an incredible stay at Hotel Zerupe! All of the front desk staff were so friendly and had great recommendations for the area. The location cannot be beat- you can easily walk to restaurants, gelato, shops, and the beach! The hotel was very clean, and the air conditioning worked great. The hotel is in the pedestrian only area of the city, so you will need to walk about a block from where a car might drop you off to get to the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel, and I hope I get the chance...
The property is clean and the bar off the lobby was really great. The location is a bit out of the city center, which was perfect for us as we had a car. Parking was easy in the street which was surprising as it was a holiday weekend. Staff super helpful with getting taxi's into the center. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing visit to San Sebastian.
A relatively new property so some limitations (they stated there was a laundry but no washing machine was hooked up) but the manager was wonderful and the room was great. She helped us find and get a reservation at a wonderful restaurant for our anniversary. She was also very helpful with other suggestions. Great location, just a few blocks from the beach. Easy walk from the bus station. Don't forget to ask about the elevator from the city-level. The hotel is on a hill and is quite a walk uphill if you're not aware of the elevator. It's locked and requires a code but you can call on the intercom when you arrive to have them open for you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at Hotel Arbaso. It is a modern and clean property, and we got our best sleep during our trip here! Everyone on the staff is very friendly, warm, and helpful. The location could not be more perfect. It's located on a quiet street and in walking distance to many sites including the Old Town, beach, and restaurants. The room was quite spacious also, and I surely enjoyed the Dyson hair dryer in the bathroom!
