This was one of the best experiences I’ve had traveling. The onsen was incredibly beautiful, clean, and serene, and the staff were extremely attentive and helpful. The food especially stood out as one of the best meals I’ve had in Japan. I highly, highly recommend this onsen!
I am Soka Gakkai Nichiren Buddhist, a senior citizen and needed a temple lodging with private bath. Kishinobo offers a few rooms with private bath. The only room available during my stay was superior suite for 3 people. This accommodation was beautiful and the meals were the best I experienced in japan this trip. This temple is located a short walk from Nichiren's masoleum. The main hall of Kuonji is a short walk uphill and via a funicular. The ropeway to top of Mt. Minobu is near. It...
Amazing stay at Kakurinbo, the vegetarian food was succulent. The staff is friendly and so helpful, you feel like you’re part of their family. The 550 years old building is in pristine condition.
For only staying two days, I was very impressed. The staff are great, rooms are larger than most in Japan, Onsen was amazing (had to use skin tape over tattoos to go in), breakfast was good. The only thing I will say is the area in which this hotel resides is a bit questionable during the night, though I never had any issues. Would absolutely stay there again.
Our stay was wonderful. We felt so welcome. The pension was very clean and comfortable. The owner was fantastic. She made us a wonderful breakfast. We left there knowing we will surely return again!!!
A very peaceful stay near the shrine in Fujinomiya. It was nice to have a genuine tatami room sleep.
If you are a big party this could be a really great place to book all rooms.
If you have accessible needs, I will say there are a number of non-uniform stair cases, unexpected changes and dropoffs throughout, but in my opinion this is to be expected in an old building like this.
If the accessibility notes aren’t a concern I would recommend this place to get a taste of quiet and more...
A beautiful little inn that has two private Sento (baths) and jazz music playing throughout the day. The rooms were clean and quiet. I had a Japanese style room with a futon but Western rooms with beds are also available. Breakfast changed from Western style to Japanese each day; maybe you can request a specific meal type. The Keith Haring museum is just across the street and there were a few onsen and restaurants a short drive away.
We loved staying in our own little cabin. It was cosy, comfortable and exceptionally well equipped with everything we could possibly need. Spotlessly clean. We’d have been happy to stay much longer.
Excellent property. Modern with all amenities in description. Loved the location. Easy access to Mt. Fuji and the great outdoors. Nature and local culture at your fingertips.
The staff was very helpful and cheerful. Food was excellent service was impeccable. The onsen was clean and serene. Took a very cool bike ride around the lake. Saw a real live deer. In the morning, Mount Fuji looked awesome. The views are unbelievable.
Absolutely amazing! Didn't want to leave. The hospitality was incredible! The owners were indescribably awesome! Not enough words or stars to rate the best experience and warmest I've ever had.
