"really nice stay, lovely room and breakfast "

"We were given a room in the courtyard area no43, It was small for 2 people It smelled musty and damp The wallpaper on the outside wall was blistered.One end of the radiator, the thermostat end, was tied to the wall with a plastic tie wrap.The window was to high to reach to open There is no lift in the main part of the house or the Courtyard rooms.No43 is on the ground floor"

"We normally come all the time and it is a lovely place to be and staff are amazing and lovely. But this stay was our worst one yet. There was bugs all over our bed. Stains all over the carpet and the room had a foul smell to it like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. "

"I can’t give a good review of this hotel. Our experience didn’t reflect the reviews or images on the website. The common areas of the hotel were very tired looking and our room had loose fittings and looked very unloved. The staff that we saw were kind and helpful. "

"Great stay as usual. But my only complaint is the tvs are just standered with the cost of smart tvs nowadays would help to update them. Apart from that very friends well kept room quiet environment."

"The Skipton needs updating. The shower curtain rail was held together with duct tape and falling off the wall. The bath traps would not turn off without serious effort. "

"From the moment we arrived till we checked out this hotel delivered. Lovely welcome on arrival, spacious clean room. Comfortable bed, handy fridge, sofa. Delicious buffet breakfast. My preferred eggs were not in the buffet but asked and they were provided no problem. Evening meal was delicious too. Waiting staff very pleasant and helpful. Spa facilities were great. You pay £10 for use of the facilities. Well worth it. Loved the heated beds. Plenty treatments on offer too. Take £1 coin for the lockers. Hotel is set in lovely grounds and is very central for touring the area. Preston 30 mins by bus (no's 40&41) where you can catch a bus or train to many places. Not far from Blackpool, Liverpool, the Lakes, the Dales. We would highly recommend this hotel and would return if in the area."

"Was looking forward to a quick dip in the jacuzzi after a long day only to be told last entry was 7.15 when it’s advertised as closing at 8pm. Absolutely devastated and probably won’t bother coming next time due to this as we come for a sporting event that finishes late so the pull of the pool is no longer viable"
