The location on the waterfront was ideal, the staff were very kind and professional, the room was clean and comfortable, it was safe and quiet.

The room was lovely, sparkling clean, plenty of towels. The staff was extremely helpful. We have been to many hotel/motels that offer "breakfast included". The breakfast was plentiful and amazing. The hotel was filled and the menu was plentiful. We were pleasantly surprised and sated as well prepared for exploring Bar Harbor. Hotel's location is a fast easy drive from the Harbor.

I liked the outdoor seating areas and the set up of our room. I dont know if every room is like this, but our 2 queen beds were separated by a sliding door. Nice for us with small children cause they could go to sleep and we could still go on moving around in our room!

Very clean with parking and just as advertised

This is a new property. The rooms are sized generously. Parking is either below the building or across the street. The location is great with restaurants and coffee shops across the street. We had a very comfortable stay and would definitely stay here again.

We stayed 2 nights at the Highbrook, Sept. 14th & 15th. The room was large and spotless, and had been recently renovated. The location was perfect for visiting Acadia and the Town of Bar Harbor. The free shuttle buses stop at the hotel. The breakfast was very good, it included Breakfast Sandwiches, Oatmeal, Bagels, Muffins, Eggs, Yogurt, Bananas, Orange Juice, Coffee, Hot Chocolate and Condiments of all types. We would definitely stay here again.

The staff was amazing and oh so super helpful. When I arrived to check into my room, I was informed that my confirmation email and their booking did not match up!! The woman at the front desk was amazing and the owner was called. To make sure I got a room for the weekend, she pulled some strings and got me a room in the motel next door! I’m still in shock. People are amazing!

We had a lovely stay at the Sand Bar Cottage. The location was perfect. Chris and his staff were very professional and pleasant. Our room & bathroom were spacious. Our only negative comment would be that we did not receive housekeeping every day. The bed was never made up nor was the trash removed, at a minimum. The room fees were upwards of $425/per night. Housekeeping should be provided.

Had a comfortable stay for 2 days during New Year’s! Very clean and friendly staff who were willing to go above and beyond to help with our requests. Beautiful views - highly recommend!

The Inn was beautiful, excellent location and wonderful breakfast. Room was lovely and everything was very clean and welcoming. I would definitely stay there again when back in Bar Harbor

We LOVED this inn. It's a perfect location--right on the Bay, free parking, and a very close walk to restaurants and shopping. The house is beautiful--the rooms are comfortable, quiet, clean, etc. Breakfast was wonderful--sitting on the deck and having them bring a fresh made meal to you. We will definitely come back again.

This is my third time staying here and I’ve never been disappointed. I’ve stayed here twice during the summer and once during the fall. The rooms are super cozy. The room is always so clean and smells great. It’s close enough to downtown and Arcadia National Park. When in the room you can’t hear the traffic. Hanscom’s is definitely a diamond in the rough. I also have to say Isis who works at the property is always super nice and fast with responding if you email her.

The room was big and comfortable, all amenities needed, breakfast was delicious!! Such a nice experience, like home but with hotel amenities! The only thing I would suggest is a full length mirror , there was none in the room and us ladies need that!

Clean room, property and pool. Great staff. Walking distance to Harbor restaurants and shops. Quick route to Acadia. Highly recommend.
