"Hiro is a real hero! He made our stay so special and an unforgettable experience. We had some travel delays and then extended our trip and he has been so flexible with everything and even gave us a ride to the train station! The place is spotless, good internet, the kitchenette made all the difference with home cooking and it's a central but quiet location. 10/10 for sure!"

"Good location to walk aroung history rich Okazaki-district, from Gimkaku-ji to Nanazen-ji and Heian-Jingu. Even you can challenge Shougun-Zuka if you like mountain hike. If you are ready or can book in advance, famous restaurants are within walking distance. "

"Koko Hotel Kyoto Sanjo was a wonderful hotel stay. The atmosphere was great, the staff were warm and accommodating, and breakfast was a treat. The hotel itself is located right near the markets, and is walking distance from Nishiki. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Kyoto again. "Super location and quiet room with real Japanese style bed on floor. Practical for trips into town or further since bus stops are right beside the building. Locally within walking distance there are ramen restaurants also temples and the Philosophers path. Suited me perfectly as I don't spend much time in hotel I like to be out taking photos. If I visit Kyoto again I would love to stay here again."

"Property is pretty new and is a peaceful location, Only 10 min walk from busy areas and 5 min from Sanjo station. Rooms are pretty small but clean and in good condition. Common areas are well maintained Staff are very polite, many of which are not Japanese. Everyone is eager to please. Many many Manga Books available to borrow!"

"Location was very good but the hotel is very dated and appears grubby because of it. The staff are hidden behind a wall so you can’t see them and can only communicate via a space at the bottom. It was kind of weird. The staff were friendly though. "

"I don't think there is a better location in Kyoto to stay. You are away from the busier spots in Kyoto and the mountains are just a walk away. Getting up in the mornings and getting to explore right outside the hotel was very exciting. Great staff and quiet, clean rooms. Would highly recommend!"

"The owner was very lovely and polite, he prep matcha tea for welcoming us also offering fresh bread making in the morning for our breakfast but my family were very tired from a long day travelling and activities we did in the area, we just want to sleep in so we had to miss out on that. House was clean. The bath was the highlight for us. Just the tap in both toilets a bit hard to operate so we had to wash our hands in the bathroom instead."

"Our family loved staying here. It was in a lovely neighborhood, easily accessible by subway. Our own private onsen in the room was really great. The free sake tasting and soft serve ice cream was a nice touch. After a full day of walking, their massage chairs were welcoming. We also had a chance to enjoy an authentic Japanese dinner in their restaurant that had a peaceful view of their garden. This stay was one of the best things about visiting Kyoto."
